Adjustment
Chiropractic adjustment is a procedure in which trained specialists (chiropractors) use their hands or a small instrument to apply a controlled, sudden force to a spinal joint. The goal of this procedure is also known as spinal manipulation, is to improve spinal motion, circulation and nerve flow.
Interferential current (IFC)
Interferential current or IFC is a deeper form of TENS. IFC is used by physical therapists to decrease swelling and inflammation in injured tissues. IFC has also been shown to reduce back pain and osteoarthritis-related pain. The frequencies generated by IFC disrupt pain transmission at the level of the spinal cord
moist Heat therapy
Moist heat—also called superficial heat—is a physical therapy modality used to control pain, speed healing, relax muscles, and increase range of motion. In a moist heat treatment, a hot pack is placed on the tight or painful area and left there for about 10 or 15 minutes.

kinesiotape / rocktape
Elastic therapeutic tape, also called kinesiology tape, k-tape, or KT, is an elastic cotton strip with an acrylic adhesive that is used with the intent of treating pain and disability from athletic injuries and a variety of other physical disorders. It gently allows the free flow of blood and lymphatic fluid to cleanse, improve circulation, support muscles, allow internal injury to heal and decrease inflammation while still allowing motion. We use a brand called Rocktape in our office.
nimmo
Nimmo Method is a system of treating Trigger Points, small areas of pain generation inside muscles and other tissues, utilizing a chiropractic approach to good body mechanics. Trigger Points cause muscles to contract abnormally and distort the spine and other joints, as well as send pain to distant locations
ultrasound
Ultrasound therapy is the use of sound waves to treat a variety of muscle, bone, and ligament conditions. The sound waves cause vibrations which generate heat. When tissues in the body are vibrating, the friction produced occurs at the molecular level. This ultimately causes the temperature in the tissues to rise. This method penetrates deeper in the muscle tissue than other methods and helps relieve pain in shoulders hips and even the spine.
S.O.T. blocking
Sacro-Occipital Technique is a specific type of Pelvic blocking treatment which uses cushioned wedges . These wedges are placed under each side of the pelvis, thus drawing your disc away from the nerve being affected.
